A Royston Wedding
Kelly & Bruce, June 2026
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Kelly and Bruce to bring together their intimate wedding celebration at The Royston — the beautiful boutique hotel in Mid Wales that they also call their own.
Having spent time at the venue with them in the lead-up to the wedding, visiting on several occasions and getting to know both the spaces and their vision, this felt like a particularly personal celebration to be part of. Kelly and Bruce weren’t just planning a wedding; they were inviting their nearest and dearest to celebrate in a place that means so much to them.
My role was, of course, to make sure the day ran seamlessly, but it also became about helping shape how the celebration would feel.
One of my favourite conversations was around their ceremony. With the incredible mountain views surrounding The Royston, I suggested taking the ceremony outdoors and making the landscape part of the experience. It created the most beautiful setting for Kelly and Bruce to say I do — with the mountains providing a picture-perfect backdrop before guests gathered for champagne and canapés.
It was one of those moments where everything simply felt right.
Working alongside some incredibly talented local suppliers, we brought together a day that felt relaxed, personal and completely reflective of Kelly and Bruce. My favourite part, as always, was seeing them able to step away from the logistics and simply enjoy the celebration they had created with the people closest to them.
For me, it was also an incredibly exciting opportunity to work alongside Kelly and Bruce at The Royston and explore the potential the venue holds as a wedding destination. Their own wedding was a wonderful opportunity to see the spaces come to life, to think about how celebrations could unfold there and, ultimately, to begin shaping what weddings at The Royston could look and feel like.
And what a beautiful place to start.
A celebration at home, surrounded by the people they love - and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for weddings at The Royston.
